Take A Seat

A stool. A portrait. A story worth telling.

Take A Seat started with a pretty simple idea: everyone deserves a good picture of themselves.

But somewhere along the way, it became a whole lot more than that.

Rodeo is full of stories that don't always make it past the arena dirt. The miles driven for a few seconds of competition. The families behind the chutes. The lucky charms, gas station dinners, busted bones, bad runs, big wins and people who keep showing up anyway.

That's what Take A Seat is about.

At each stop, I bring the same stool, pull competitors away from the chaos for a few minutes and give them a place to sit. What starts as a portrait usually turns into a conversation about how they got here, what keeps them going and who they are when the arena isn't watching.

Some have spent their entire lives in rodeo. Others found it later. Some are chasing their first big win, while others are competing at the highest level of the sport.

Everybody gets the same seat.
